Motor Vehicle Insurance Disclosure Statement

It is important that you read this document.  This general information will help you make an informed decision when deciding to purchase General Insurance products from us.

 

Car And Personal Loans t/a CAPLOANS is a Financial Advise Provider with registration no. FSP585308 and has Full Finance Advise Provider license granted by the Financial Markets Authority on the 10th of October 2022.  

 

CAPLOANS and its adviser provides regulated financial advise that is regulated by the Financial Markets Conduct Act of 2013.  Duties to the industry and our clients are as follows:

 

  1. Meeting competence, knowledge and skill standards

  2. Exercise care, diligence and skill

  3. Prioritise client interest

  4. Comply with the code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advise Services

 

CAPLOANS is an insurance advisor and is not an insurer.  It currently provides financial advise on credit related and Motor Vehicle Insurance products issued by:

  • Provident Insurance

  • Autolife Insurance

 

There are no fees payable to CAPLOANS from clients that act on our advise and has purchased insurance products through us.


As an insurance advisor, CAPLOANS will receive commissions as a form of compensation for every insurance product it sells on behalf of our insurers.  Such commissions are part of the premiums you pay.

 

There might be some inconsistencies in regards to some of our clients’ interest and the interest of CAPLOANS.  As an insurance advisor we do our best to make client interest our priority.

CAPLOANS is deeply concerned about your grievances.  If you wish to complain about our services or advise, you can contact us by telephone, by email, by writing or by completing a complaint form in our website to explain your concerns.  We will endeavor to resolve your complaint as soon as it is received.

 

If your complaint is not resolved on the our first attempt to address it, it will be thoroughly reviewed internally by management and we will endeavor to provide you with a resolution within 20 working days. You will be advised on the progress of your complaint.

If you are not satisfied with the decision from our internal disputes resolution process, you may refer the matter to our External Dispute Resolution Scheme, which is the Financial Services Complaints Limited (FSCL).  You have three months to bring your complaint to FSCL attention and there is no cost to you.  Their contact details are as follows:
